简 介
故事发生在17世纪末期美国西部，臭名远扬、作恶多端的大盗本•韦德（卢塞尔•克劳 饰）在又干了一票抢劫火车的大买卖之后得意忘形，结果在亚利桑那一个边远的荒漠小镇阴沟里翻船，被警察逮捕。小镇警察在欣喜若狂之余，开始发愁怎样把这位煞星转送到尤马镇去受审。农场主丹•埃文斯（克里斯蒂安•贝尔 饰）挺身而出接受了这个几乎不可能完成的任务，因为他的农场陷入经济危机，急需资金拯救，而政府会提供愿意押送本•韦德的人一笔可观的佣金，为了妻儿的安定生活，他不得不铤而走险。
路上，韦德开出了更为诱人的条件,只要丹能够放他自由，就能给丹一笔巨额赃款，金钱的诱惑、农场的危机、政府的权威、道义的束缚等等念头缠住了丹，他该如何做出选择……
