【内容简介】

　　本片改编自日本作家樱坂洋的轻小说《杀戮轮回 All you need is kill》。故事背景设定于近未来的地球,在一场全面性的外星物种入侵战争中,凯奇(汤姆·克鲁斯 饰)被送到登陆战的海滩,每天都在重复着必败的死亡激战。而他从未接受过任何军事训练,却奉派到前线与敌人作战,这无疑是一场自杀的作战行动。就在他频死的那一刻,他意外地获得穿越时空回廊的能力,能够让他不断地重复生死轮回,一次又一次地重新回到战场。随着每一次醒来,比尔对战争的经验就更深一层,他越来越了解敌人的弱点,在战场上的存活时间也越来越久。他在“战场女武神”丽塔(艾米丽·布朗特 饰)的魔鬼训练下,战斗能力突飞猛进,两人一同并肩作战,终于让这场毫无希望的战争露出一线胜利的曙光。但是凯奇也面临一项痛苦的抉择……

　　未来世界陷入外星人入侵的恐慌中，军事演说家凯奇少校（汤姆·克鲁斯 Tom Cruise 饰）畏惧上战场，他从没想过将军（布莱丹·格里森 Brendan Gleeson 饰）会让他去指挥即将开始的“诺曼底战役”，拒绝接受命令之后将军居然恶整了他，那就是把他当做逃兵扔进了军 营中。凯奇被归入了J小队中进行战斗，战役的第一天就惨死在战场，没想到这一死让他拥有了时空循环的能力，而唯一相信他的人就是被称为“全金属战士”的丽塔·沃拉塔斯基（艾米莉·布朗特 Emily Blunt 饰）。二人开始了时空循环作战，在训练凯奇的同时他们发现了控制时间的奥秘，这与外星人“主脑”欧米茄有关，但是唯一能取得胜利的方法就是让凯奇不断死去、不断重启时间。在不断重复登陆那天的战斗的同时，凯奇越来越不想失去丽塔……

【关于天天影视《明日边缘》你应该知道的10件事】

1、本片改编自日本作家樱坂洋的轻小说《杀戮轮回》。但一开始剧组就认为原着的标题过于残酷，与电影版偏喜剧的气氛不符，之后剧组曾用过“我们都是凡人”的标题，最终改为“明日边缘”。

2、影片大部分戏份在英国取景。拍摄地Leavesden Studio曾经是哈利·波特系列影片的片场。

3、影片中比尔·凯奇中士的角色原定由布拉德·皮特出演。他曾经与导演里曼合作过《史密斯夫妇》。

4、汤姆·克鲁斯自从2012年7月20日加入本片的剧组开始筹备工作。那距离他上一部电影《遗落战境》关机尚不到一周时间。

5、汤姆·克鲁斯自掏腰包，花了10万美元为剧组举办了一个盛大的关机派对。但他本人由于还有戏份需要拍摄未能前来参加。

6、丽塔的角色曾经考虑邀请《艺术家》的法国女星贝勒尼丝·贝乔出演。

7、华纳公司为本片开启了一场史无前例的“预告特辑马拉松”，在同一天之内，发布了7支《明日边缘》相关的预告及制作特辑。
